05.12.2011: BCBS urges closer IASB & IAASB

The influential Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has urged international accounting and auditing standards setters to look at ways in which they can align their work more closely. The committee says the International Accounting Standards Board should consult with the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board to identify areas where improvement would benefit both organisations.
